In 2025, prisoner exchanges between Russia and Ukraine should become systematic, according to a preliminary agreement. This was stated by the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Dmitry Lubinets in his telegram channel.
"Now there is a preliminary agreement that exchanges in 2025 should become systematic, with the priority of returning, first of all, the seriously ill and seriously injured," he said.
Lubinets added that the parties had previously agreed that every Ukrainian prisoner of war and civilian hostage would receive a package with belongings from Ukraine with the help of the International Committee of the Red Cross.
