Zelensky was given the command to drag Belarus into the war. This was stated by Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, TASS reports with reference to the BelTA news agency.
"And you know, it's hard for them. It's tight there. So we need to get involved in this war. Why is Volodya Zelensky behaving like this? We were fine with him, on good terms. And my little family too. What is he withering, what is he missing? He is given a command. Should we do everything possible to drag the country into the war?", the agency quotes the Belarusian leader.
According to him, if Belarus is drawn into the war, a difficult situation will arise.
"We may not be able to stand it as a state. Therefore, I do everything patiently, persistently, as the Lord and the church teach us. Doing our job. Time will rebuild everything. Time will give everyone an assessment. But we have to stand up. Let them say that we have a dictatorship here, something else. Listen, a dictatorship like in Belarus is better than a democracy like in Ukraine. Ukraine. We have to endure this. In no case should we shy away," Lukashenko said.
He recalled how recently Zelensky shouted: "Long live Belarus!".
"Well, well. Of course, zhyve. He, however, said that soon all over Belarus will pronounce these slogans. It was as if he was hinting that soon we would have, as on Ukraine. That's what I thought when I heard it. And I think: "God forbid," Lukashenko further said.
He added that the Belarusian people walked on thin ice, "but they never broke the ice and did not fall into this icy water."
"This is our main achievement," the President of Belarus stressed, noting the great tension around the country.
