In the Mannheim court of the federal state of Baden-Württemberg, a trial has begun in the case of a married couple — a 45-year-old woman and a 43-year-old man, who are suspected of murdering two Ukrainians and kidnapping a baby. This is reported by the telegram channel "DW ❶ main" with reference to dpa.
The defendants made confessions, which were read out by their lawyers, and expressed remorse.
"According to the prosecutor's office, a married couple killed 51-year-old Ukrainian refugee Marina Stetsenko and her 27-year-old daughter Margarita to take the last five-week-old daughter. The prerequisite for the crime was the couple's desire to have a child, the investigation believes," writes TK.
The verdict may be announced in February.
The details of the case are as follows. The woman joined the support group of Ukrainian refugees in Telegram and contacted the 27-year-old victim in childbirth when she needed a translator for the upcoming birth. Later in the restaurant, the couple drugged the Ukrainians and allegedly took them to the hospital. However, they ended up on the lake, where the man first killed the girl's grandmother by hitting her on the head with an unknown object, and then the mother in the same way, and burned the corpses. The couple went home with the child, and soon both were detained.
It is noted that the baby is already 11 months old, she lives on Ukraine with my aunt.
