A 49-year-old Russian sailor won $1 million in the Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire lottery. This is reported by the portal Khaleej Times.

According to the winner, seven years ago he had a dream about a big win in the Dubai lottery, at that time he did not know if such events were held in the UAE. After learning about the Dubai Duty Free raffle, he decided to try his luck.

"I started buying tickets several times a year because I had this dream. It was a very lucid dream in which I won," he says.

The lucky sailor said that the winning ticket was different from the ones he had bought before, because this time he chose numbers that had personal significance for him.

The Russian learned about the win on August 12 when he visited his father, who lives in Vladivostok.

Despite the big prize, the lucky one is not going to radically change his life. He noted that he may eventually stop working on ships, but does not plan to completely leave the maritime industry.

"Choose your favorite numbers that are somehow connected with your life," the lottery winner advised those who hope to win.

As EADaily reported, at the end of May, an unknown resident of the Czech Republic won € 120 million in the Eurojackpot lottery. He managed to guess all the numbers necessary for the main prize. Eurojackpot has been held in 19 European countries since 2012, and has been operating in the Czech Republic since October 2014. To get the maximum winnings, Eurojackpot lottery participants need to guess five numbers out of 50 and two additional numbers out of 12.
