Russian President Vladimir Putin awarded the singer, People's Artist of Russia Nikolai Baskov with the Order of Merit for the Fatherland, IV degree. The relevant document has been published on the official portal of legal acts.
"To award the Order of Merit for the Fatherland of the IV degree to Nikolai Viktorovich Baskov, a vocal artist, a member of the board of the International Union of Pop Artists (Creative Union)," the text of the decree says.
As reported by EADaily, at the end of July, Putin awarded the Order of Merit for the Fatherland of the II degree to the singer, People's Artist of Russia Oleg Gazmanov. The award ceremony was timed to the 75th anniversary of the artist. In March 2012, the artist was awarded the Order of Merit for the Fatherland of the IV degree, in May 2018 — the Order of Friendship.
