The United States and most countries did not support the anti-Russian statement on Ukraine at the UN

A group of 50 states made a joint statement at the UN in which they condemned Russia's strikes on Ukraine. However, this resolution was not supported by 143 countries, including the United States.

The corresponding statement was read out on the platform of the international organization by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Denmark Lars Lekke Rasmussen. It was supported by 49 States and the delegation of the European Union.

Among the signatories of the document were such countries as Hungary, Slovakia, Switzerland, Great Britain, Japan, Canada and Georgia. They called on Moscow to agree to a "full, immediate and unconditional cease-fire."

At the same time, in the text of the resolution, the Russian special military operation on Ukraine is referred to as an "illegal full-scale invasion."

Recall that in early August, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres condemned the strikes of Ukrainian drones in the regions of Russia, which killed and injured civilians.

As EADaily reported, on the eve of Russia's permanent representative to the world Organization Vasily Nebenzia said at a meeting of the UN Security Council that Ukraine had been turned into a concentration camp named after Zelensky with the most active participation of the countries of the collective West.
