The presenter of Vesti Nedelya, who has been permanent for 14 years, congratulated the "new face" of the project

Dmitry Kiselyov, CEO of the Russia Today international media group, congratulated the new host of the Vesti Nedelya final program, Yevgeny Popov, and wished him success. Kiselyov himself is moving to a new author's program on the Rossiya TV channel, which will be released on Sunday evenings.

"Congratulations to Zhenya Popov with the taken height! „Vesti Nedelya is a gentle organism and at the same time a great creative and civic challenge. I am sure that with the new host, the program will gain new energy and new colors. Success!" — Kiselyov wrote in his telegram channel.

The legendary TV presenter added that he still has the opportunity to communicate with loyal viewers in the new program.

Let us remind you that the Vesti Nedeli program was launched back in 2001. Kiselyov became its host in the fall of 2012, from that moment he regularly appeared on the screen as a presenter with a break for two issues in September 2021 due to infection with COVID-19.

The program became the winner of several TEFI awards, including in the nomination "Information Program" and "Information and Analytical final program". In the summer of 2025, the program and its host Kiselyov again became laureates of the award.

Last season, the last issue of "News of the Week" with Dmitry Kiselyov was released on July 12. All editions of the program are available on the "Watch" platform.
