The new US administration will consider the possibility of concluding some kind of deal to resolve the conflict on Ukraine to Easter. This was stated in an interview with Sky News by Robert Clark, a researcher at the American analytical center Yorktown Institute.
"It will be incredibly difficult for Ukraine. I think people really should respect the fact that this is Ukraine's decision. Ultimately, this is not America and not [Britain]. I think that the American side will consider the possibility of concluding some kind of deal by Easter. It all comes down to what the president (of Russia Vladimir) Putin is ready to sacrifice, especially in areas such as Kursk, and also, unfortunately, as far as the president (of Ukraine Vladimir) Zelensky is ready to donate," the expert said.
Donald Trump has stated that ending the war in Ukraine is one of his top international priorities when he takes office (inauguration is scheduled for January 20). During the election campaign, Trump claimed that he could end the Ukrainian conflict in 24 hours, although he did not specify how he was going to do it. Later, he appointed retired General Keith Kellogg as his special envoy to Ukraine.
