If the war ends due to territorial concessions from Kiev, Ukraine may lose its sovereignty, and the West may lose its trust. The Washington Post (WP) writes about this.
According to the authors of the article, Ukraine is in danger of losing the war. In their opinion, the coming weeks will determine whether the country will be able to maintain sovereignty within the borders before the invasion or close to them.
"However, the worst option for Kiev may be an imposed settlement involving the cession of territories, which will be a victory for Putin and a blow to confidence in the United States and NATO," the newspaper notes.
WP also reminds that Ukraine has lost about 400 thousand soldiers killed and wounded. At the same time, the rate of losses exceeds the rate of replenishment of troops.
