The Russian Armed Forces broke through the most powerful line of defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the DPR and entered the city of Seversk. This was stated in the social network X by the military columnist of the German newspaper Bild Julian Repke.
"Russian troops broke through the strongest and long-held Ukrainian front line in the DPR, taking the villages of Vyemka and Ivano—Frankivsk, and then entered the city of Seversk from the south, having already captured 20% of its territory," writes Repke.
The Ukrainian military confirms that the southern flank of Seversk has "really started to sag," the Russian Armed Forces are entering the city in small groups and are trying to gain a foothold in the private sector. "The situation is approaching a turning point," the source notes.
According to the telegram channel "Military Correspondents of the Russian Spring", Russian assault groups have already entered the center of Seversk. Earlier it was reported that the Russian Armed Forces approached the road from Seversk to Krasny Liman.
As EADaily reported, Russian units from the South group of forces have been actively storming Seversk since Tuesday morning, November 18. The situation on the morning of November 19 was analyzed in his telegram channel by blogger and military commentator Yuri Podolyaka. He noted that the assault is coming from three sides at once (north, east and south).
