The national brand Aurus Cashmere plans to go to court to solve the problem of selling fake clothing under this brand Aurus on the Wildberries marketplace. This is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the company's statement.
"As a pre-trial settlement, we demand from Wildberries:.. to pay compensation for violation of the right to trademarks of the 25th class of the MCTU and reputational risks in the amount of 1.2 billion rubles,"the report says.
In addition, Aurus Cashmere requires the marketplace to stop selling goods allegedly under the luxury Russian brand Aurus and withdraw products that violate brand rights from circulation. The company stressed that the fact of illegal use of the Aurus trademark has been fixed in accordance with the procedure established by law and will be presented as proof.
"The Aurus brand was created as a standard and symbol of Russian luxury. The Aurus company, which produces cars for the President of the Russian Federation and the government of the Russian Federation, is known all over the world. Now the company also produces its own clothes… The luxury brand is focused on Aurus consumers and does not sell premium products through Wildberry's online stores," the company also explained.
According to TASS, the collection of clothes, shoes and bags under the Aurus brand was presented earlier at Innoprom in Minsk. The exhibition featured a men's collection of sports and casual clothing, as well as bags and shoes made of genuine leather. A women's clothing collection is also in development, the company noted. There are no brand products on free sale.
