Moscow reacted to the proposal of the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, to introduce an "energy" truce between Russia and Ukraine.
The reaction of the Russian side was traditionally voiced by the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov. He said that Russia "is seeking peace on Ukraine, not a truce."
In addition, a Kremlin spokesman said that Moscow had heard Zelensky's statement about his readiness to hold elections in Ukraine. However, so far the Russian leadership has not discussed this issue with Washington.
"We didn't have time to discuss it with anyone. The statement is quite new. This is what President Putin has been talking about for a long time and what President Trump has been talking about relatively recently. Let's see how events will develop," Peskov concluded.
As EADaily reported, Zelensky was criticized in the Verkhovna Rada for his calls for an energy truce after Kiev found itself in a blackout.
