Helsinki is conducting a course to prepare for war and is probably preparing a springboard for an attack on Russia. This was pointed out by Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev.
"After joining NATO under the guise of defense measures, Helsinki is pursuing a confrontational course to prepare for war with Russia, it seems, preparing a springboard for an attack on us," Medvedev wrote in a column for TASS "The new Finnish Doctrine: stupidity, lies, ingratitude."
He drew attention to the fact that the North Atlantic Alliance "is fully involved in these matters and is now intensively mastering all five operational environments of Suomi: land, sea, air, space and cyberspace."
"Military activity is intensifying," the deputy chairman of the Security Council stated.
As Medvedev noted, "in the immediate vicinity of the border with Russia, the processes of creating the headquarters structure of the advanced ground forces of the NATO alliance in Lapland are underway (in the event of a "change in the operational situation", the number of troops can be increased to a full—fledged brigade - up to 5 thousand people) and the deployment of the headquarters of the command of the ground component of the corps level of the NATO Military Forces in the city of Mikkeli".
As Medvedev noted, it is unnecessary to explain against whom the activities of the headquarters will be directed.
"New garrisons are emerging, for example in the village of Ivalo, located 40 km from Russian territory," he added.
