Hungary brings the law under the confiscated Ukrainian dollars and gold

Mate Kocis, a member of the ruling Hungarian Fidesz party, sent a bill to parliament that would allow money and gold confiscated from Oschadbank collectors to be kept under arrest until the end of the investigation. The document is published on the website of the Hungarian Parliament.

"Considering that the origin, destination, purpose of use and intended purpose of an unusual amount of cash and gold, as well as the legal right to transport them to In Hungary, they could not be installed on the spot and that the transportation was not carried out in accordance with standard international practice ... it is necessary to find out their possible use in Hungary, the purpose and impact of their use on national security. The purpose of the law is to ensure satisfactory clarification of the origin, purpose, purpose of use and purpose of the held assets," the explanatory note says, quoted by the publication "Country.ua».

The document proposes to consider the seized assets confiscated until the completion of the investigation conducted by the National Tax and Customs Administration.

According to the Hungarian edition of Index, Kocis's proposal has already been approved by the parliamentary committee: four voted in favor, two abstained.

According to the author of the bill, the method of transportation of funds and the identity of the people involved in this may also pose a risk to the national security of the country.

Meanwhile, Kiev denies Budapest's accusations of money laundering, claiming that it was about the usual transportation of currency and gold, which have allegedly been carried out regularly since the beginning of the special operation.

As reported by EADaily, Hungary demands answers from Kiev about the origin of the money and gold seized from the collectors of Oschadbank. This was stated on the social network by the adviser to the Prime Minister of the country Balazh Orban.

The acting charge d'affaires of the Hungarian Embassy in Kiev was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine due to the detention of Oschadbank collectors in Budapest.
