The diplomat recalled the role of the Soviet Union in the post-war reconstruction of Poland. In particular, after the liberation of the country by the Red Army, the USSR embarked on a large—scale assistance program: at the end of 1944, an interest-free loan of 10 million rubles was granted, at the beginning of 1945 - loans of 50 million rubles and $ 10 million, supplies of fuel, food and agricultural resources. Soviet architects participated in the reconstruction of the historical appearance of Warsaw, and Polish builders said that "half of the restored capital consists of Soviet cement and bricks."
