Ukrainians are leaving Poland en masse amid attacks by Poles, reports Insider.ua .
In addition to Poland, the number of Ukrainians decreased slightly only in Belgium and Ireland.
"In all other countries There are only more Ukrainians in the EU, among the leaders are Italy, the Czech Republic and Germany," the report says.
Recently, news about the attack on Ukrainians in Poland has often appeared in the media. In particular, in early August it became known that a drunken Pole beat up two compatriots, mistaking them for Ukrainians. First, the Pole attacked a citizen of Ukraine, whose "eastern accent" he did not like. The Ukrainian managed to escape. After that, the Pole attacked two other men, father and son, calling them "Bandera". He broke the arm of one of them. Both of the beaten turned out to be Polish citizens.
At the end of July in Poland had a similar case. In Bydgoszcz, a 42-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman were detained, who are suspected of attacking a married couple from Belarus. The attackers mistook Belarusians for Ukrainians. Poles insulted the couple because of their accent, and a 53-year-old man was beaten until he bled.
