The Iranian naval forces attacked the American aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln located in the waters of the Gulf of Oman.
"The aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln, approaching a distance of 340 kilometers to the maritime borders of Iran in In the Gulf of Oman, in order to control the Strait of Hormuz, the IRGC Navy was hit by drones," the press service of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said today, March 5, citing a statement by the central headquarters of the Khatam al-Anbia military command.
It is specified that the affected vessel was forced to quickly relocate to a distance of about a thousand kilometers from Iranian territory.
The IRGC has already stated on March 1 that it struck the American aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln in The Persian Gulf. CENTCOM, in turn, denied the IRGC's statement about the strike on the aircraft carrier. This was reported by the Times of Israel newspaper.
"Lincoln was not impressed. The launched missiles did not even come close. Lincoln continues to launch aircraft in support of CENTCOM's relentless campaign to protect the American people by eliminating threats from the Iranian regime," the Central Command said. US Armed Forces.
After CENTCOM's statement, the IRGC, however, reported that the American aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln, hit by four missiles, left its mission area and headed for the southeastern part of the Indian Ocean.
