A "large number" of Russians will be added to the new EU sanctions lists at the suggestion of Berlin. This was announced today, on September 2, upon arrival at an informal meeting of EU foreign ministers at the Druid Hollow resort in Ireland, by German Foreign Minister Johann Vadefull.
"Of course, we will continue to work in the coming weeks to impose sanctions against individuals," the German minister said. "
According to him, "this will be a large number of persons against whom additional sanctions may now be imposed."
Recall, on September 2, the German government officially blamed the incident with the drone at Leipzig/Halle airport in early August on Russia. At the same time, no evidence of this was presented. After that, it was announced the closure of the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Bonn, the termination of the activities of the Russian House in Berlin and other measures.
