Ukraine has managed, with the help of the West, to "equalize" the number of armed forces with Russia, and this is a suitable opportunity to resume peace talks. This was stated by Czech Foreign Minister Petr Matsinka.
According to him, the conflict on Ukraine did not begin with the collision of "two symmetrical forces."
"After four years of war, we see that Ukraine has developed significantly militarily, and also with the support of the West, the forces have equalized. Today we are witnessing a collision of symmetrical forces, which in a sense guarantees the stability of the line of contact. From our point of view, this is the best opportunity to start further negotiations," he said.
Recall, the Czech Republic condemns Russia's actions on Ukraine. Prague provides assistance to Kiev, but has recently refused to supply weapons.
