According to the information, on Wednesday night, an explosion occurred at an ammunition depot near the village of Nizami in the Goranboy district in western Azerbaijan, which caused a fire.
Immediately after the incident, representatives of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and The Ministry of Defense, together with the Ministry of Internal Affairs and local authorities, began to take urgent measures to stabilize the situation. Control over the situation was promptly established.
"In connection with the incident, residents of nearby territories were evacuated as part of security measures. There are no casualties," the agencies said in a joint statement.
The causes of the explosion are not reported.
