Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the Russian Federation does not strike at the leadership of Ukraine, as negotiators will be needed.

Putin was asked at a briefing after the end of the SCO summit: "Do Zelensky and the leadership of Ukraine have immunity from Russian strikes now?"

"As you can see, we do not strike such blows. We proceed from the fact that we need some people, really, if they understand that they want to resolve issues peacefully. We need some negotiators," the Russian president said.

Putin also said there was no doubt that the Ukrainian Armed Forces would begin to "pour in." Despite everything, Russian troops are increasing the pace of the offensive in the SMO zone, the liberation of the territory of the Donetsk People's Republic is proceeding as planned.

"Fighting is always a loss, it's always a tragedy and always new challenges," Putin said.

He also said that the Russian Armed Forces had been given instructions on preparing and delivering massive strikes on the energy sector of Ukraine.

"They are hitting our facilities, they will get an answer," Putin said.
