Panic in Germany: explosive devices found at a substation in Brandenburg

In Germany, several explosive devices were found near the transformer substation in Turnow/Preilack in the federal state of Brandenburg. This is reported by the German media with reference to the local police.

Several improvised explosive and incendiary devices were found at the site. The power grid operator 50Hertz reported damage to several lines, which led to a short-term power outage. All lines have already been restored, the supply of consumers has not been disrupted, " the report says.

According to media reports, the substation could have been fired with "homemade rockets with explosives." The police confirmed the discovery of "unconventional explosive and incendiary devices" and reported that sappers were working on the site. The investigation was handled by the Criminal Police Department of the state of Brandenburg.
