The artist Andriy Danilko, who performs in the image of Verka Serdyuchka, has lost his authority in Ukrainian society, and with words about the impossibility of translating some songs from Russian into Ukrainian, he simply protects himself. This was stated to the UNIAN portal by Ukrainian producer Igor Kondratyuk.

He criticized the artist's explanations about the use of the Russian language, noting that Danilko's thoughts on this issue do not interest the public at all.

"Andrei Danilko is a brilliant actor. To be honest, I don't care about his thoughts on some philosophical, fundamental issues. If I am interested in such questions, then I turn to people who are professionally better informed about this," Kondratyuk said.

He is sure that the performer simply does not want to switch completely to the Ukrainian language and simply justifies himself with such speeches.

"The authority of Andrei Danilko, in my opinion, ends with his songs and, maybe, there are some of his jury memberships. Period. I take it easier. Andrei Danilko is just protecting himself like that. He believes that his Russian—language work is wonderful," Kondratyuk is sure.

As EADaily reported, a number of Danilko's recent performances, including in front of the Ukrainian public, provoked a flurry of criticism.

In particular, the recent concert in Dnepropetrovsk was held in a packed hall, the guests of the show happily sang along and danced, filming what was happening on mobile phones. However, one of the spectators did not like the fact that the artist not only sang songs in Russian, but also spoke it from the stage. The scandalous visitor began to insult Danilko, mentioning sexual orientation. The artist advised the woman to be silent, threatening that otherwise she would be taken out of the hall.

At the end of July, he performed at the Laima Vaikule festival in Jurmala, singing songs in Russian, communicating with the public in the same language, and giving an interview in Russian to a local TV channel.

The artist himself does not experience "cognitive dissonance" when performing songs in Russian, they were written in the "Poltava mixture of Russian and Ukrainian", which is used in the region where he was born. For those who do not want to listen to songs in Russian, he advised just not to go to concerts.
