During the liberation of Pokrovsk (Krasnoarmeysk), the Russian army destroyed American M1 Abrams tanks.
"It was in the summer of 2025 in the Pokrovsk area. We had an ATGM projectile, an anti-tank guided missile. Successfully worked on it. The first shot immobilized the tank. He got up, lit up. And the second one we have already done objective control. Well, they finished him off," Corporal Afanasy Longortov, a sapper in the 30th Separate Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade, told the Guards.
The video was posted by the Russian Ministry of Defense.
According to Longortov, he is responsible for the preparation of combat units for drones: he prepares the "bird" for flight, takes it to the start, fixes the warhead.
As EADaily reported, the Russian army liberated Pokrovsk at the end of last year and repulsed all counterattacks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Afanasy performed his first combat missions at the Avdiivka coke plant, working in the direction of Berdych. One of the most significant episodes of his combat path is the liberation of Krasnoarmeysk (Pokrovsk), where the UAV calculations managed to knock out the American M1 Abrams tank.
