The Yemeni Houthis intend to block the Bab-el-Mandeb Strait simultaneously with the cessation of the passage of ships through the Strait of Hormuz by decision of Iran. This is reported by YNP.
"Sana is making a strategic decision to merge Bab-el-Mandeb with Hormuz. This will be a response to the Saudi airstrikes on the Sanaa International Airport," the statement said, quoted by Solovyov Live.
The Houthis promised that in this case the price of oil would jump to $ 200.
"It was a mistake on the part of the United States to push the Saudi regime to a new aggression against Yemen... Bab-el-Mandeb will join with Hormuz, and the price of oil will rise to $ 200," said a member of the political bureau of the Ansar Allah movement (Hussites). Mohammed al-Farah.
Gibson Shipping Company has warned that the world should prepare for much more difficult oil supply conditions, Al Jazeera TV channel reports meanwhile.
"Gibson Shipping Company said: if a new escalation of tensions in The Strait of Hormuz will lead to its next long closure, the world will find itself in a much more difficult situation. Against the background of the rapid decline in world oil reserves in recent months, this will create conditions for even more limited supply, higher prices and the risk of a significant reduction in the availability of oil tankers," the report said, quoted by ParsToday Russian.
