The United States saved $ 50 million on the reward for the capture of Nicolas Maduro. This was stated at a briefing at the White House by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

So he commented on today's attack on Venezuela and the seizure of the country's President Nicolas Maduro and his wife. According to him, Maduro had many opportunities to avoid today's fate — "they offered him a lot."

"Maduro wanted to play a big boy, and now he has a lot of problems," Rubio added, quoted by the Donald Trump telegram channel in Russian.

The head of the State Department urged the leaders of other countries not to play games with US President Donald Trump, threatening that it would end badly.

"I think the main message here is for the world: our president is not just looking for someone to fight with. No, we're happy to talk, but don't play games. Don't play games with this president because it will turn out badly. So, you know, I think that all of us have learned this lesson, and now it's time to move forward," Rubio explained.

As EADaily reported, the United States attacked Venezuela this morning. Missile strikes hit military bases, airfields, ports and other strategic facilities. President Donald Trump said that US special forces captured President Nicolas Maduro and his wife and took them out of the country.
