US President Donald Trump made a not too veiled threat to the new Venezuelan leader Delcy Rodriguez. He stated this in a telephone interview with The Atlantic.
"If she doesn't do the right thing, she will have to pay a very high price, probably even more than Maduro," Trump said.
Trump made it clear that he would not tolerate what he called Rodriguez's audacious response to the US armed intervention that led to the capture of the president of the country, Nicolas Maduro.
The American leader also said that the United States needs Greenland.
"We really need Greenland, of course," he said, noting that the island, part of Denmark, a NATO ally, is surrounded by "Russian and Chinese ships."
As EADaily reported, the United States committed an act of aggression against Venezuela under far-fetched pretexts. This was stated by Executive Vice-President of the Republic Delcy Rodriguez, Telesur reported.
Recall, Venezuelan Vice President Delcy Rodriguez promised Secretary of State Marco Rubio that she was ready to do whatever the United States said. This was stated at a briefing at Mar-a-Lago by President Donald Trump. "Just a few minutes ago, the vice president of Venezuela took the oath of office, and she spoke with Marco, she said: "We will do everything that you need." I think she is quite generous, but, frankly, she has no choice," the American leader noted.
