Former US Vice President Kamala Harris, who lost the election campaign to Donald Trump, sharply opposed the operation to capture Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro. In her hatred of the current owner of the White House, she even remembered the chaos that the US "democracy" brings.
"It's not about drugs or democracy. We are talking about oil and Donald Trump's desire to play the role of a regional dictator. If he cared about any of this, he would not have pardoned the convicted drug dealer and would not have sidelined the legitimate opposition of Venezuela by making deals with Maduro's henchmen," Kamala Harris wrote on X.
According to her, Donald Trump's actions in Venezuela do not make America safer, stronger or more accessible.
"The fact that Maduro is a cruel, illegitimate dictator does not change the fact that these actions were illegal and unreasonable. We've seen this before. Wars for regime change or oil, which are presented as power, but turn into chaos, and American families pay for it. The American people do not want this, and they are tired of lying," continued the former vice president, who in her current position remembered that it is more important for the United States to deal with internal problems.
"The president is putting troops at risk, spending billions, destabilizing the region and offering no legitimate authority, no exit plan and no benefit to himself," added Kamala Harris.
