The chairmen of the State Duma committees on labor, social policy and veterans' Affairs Yaroslav Nilov and regional policy and local government Alexei Didenko will not run for the ninth convocation of the State Duma, Vedomosti writes with reference to the CEC data.
"This September it will be exactly 29 years since I first crossed the threshold of the State Duma. <> Eight years of state civil service in the State Duma apparatus, 15 years as a deputy, [was] chairman of the Committee on Public and Religious Organizations, two convocations — head of the Committee on Social Policy. This is the end of the history of work in the State Duma. <> There is a new, different way ahead," Nilov told the publication.
Didenko has been receiving a mandate since 2011. He commented on his absence from the lists with a quote from "12 chairs".
"Monsieur, it's not mange pas sis. Goeben zi mir bitte etwas auf dem stuk brod. Give something to feed the former deputy of the State Duma" — the deputy told Vedomosti.
