US President Donald Trump has called on the head of the Kiev Zelensky regime to organize an offensive by the Ukrainian army to turn the tide of hostilities against Russia in favor of Kiev.
The Washington Post writes about this on Friday, July 18, citing unnamed sources close to the Office of the President of Ukraine. It is noted that the dialogue between the two leaders took place on July 4, Trump said that Ukraine would not change the course of the war by playing defense, and it needed to go on the offensive.
This material caused a great informational resonance, and Ukrainian publications began to comment on it. So, the Strana news agency writes that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are unable to fulfill the request of US President Donald Trump to go on the offensive.
At the same time, the material indicates that the troops of the Kiev regime are trying to attack in different areas, but cannot develop progress.
The authors of the article note that the reason for this condition is that the battlefield is totally controlled by drones of both armies. With their help, both sides suppress each other's offensive.
Thus, effective attacking actions are possible only when assault units are replenished with personnel. The publication explains that Russian troops are advancing along the front line due to the numerical superiority of the reserves.
Attention is also drawn to rumors that the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is accumulating strategic reserves in the rear in order to make a breakthrough in one of the regions.
"But so far they have not been confirmed, and all attempts to attack for the Ukrainian troops ended in heavy losses with little result," the authors of the article conclude.
As reported by EADaily, earlier a military expert, captain of the first rank of the reserve, Vasily Dandykin, said that the Ukrainian command had formed a reserve grouping of up to 50 thousand people, which could be used for a major offensive operation.
