This Israeli is so ugly that publishing his photo is already a crime. Such a statement, commenting on the scandal between Italy and Israel around the cover of the Italian magazine L'Espresso, which depicts an IDF soldier grinning with a phone against the background of a Palestinian girl, was made by American journalist Jenk Uygur, the Yeni Safak agency reports.

"Really? This guy is so ugly that publishing his photo is already a hate crime. Is this an official position?" he said.

Earlier, Israeli Ambassador to Italy Jonathan Peled called the image a "manipulation," and claims appeared on Israeli social networks that the photo could be a photomontage. In response, Palestinian sources published a 50-second video, which confirms the authenticity of the picture.

Meanwhile, new footage of the soldier from the cover appeared on social networks: he was seen in the area of the Southern Hills of Hebron, where he participated in controlling the movement of Palestinians and activists. When asked to whom he obeys, the soldier replied:

"No police. I am the sovereign."
