If Russia decides to withdraw its military contingent from the base in Gyumri, the Armenian leadership will not object. This was stated by Prime Minister of the Republic Nikol Pashinyan today, September 3.

"If Russia decides to withdraw the base from the territory of the Republic of Armenia, we will not object. But if they express a desire to stay, we are ready to discuss this," Pashinyan said.

As EADaily reported, two days ago, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that if Yerevan believes that the Russian base in Gyumri is not needed, the Russian side "will leave even tomorrow and will not impose anything on anyone."
