Polish media continue to provoke an international scandal in society, pedaling the theme of the celebration of the Islamic holiday of Eid al-Adha, celebrated in honor of the end of fasting in the month of Ramadan.
A new scandal is unfolding in the town of Myslovice, in the Silesian voivodeship. There, for the celebration of Eid al-Adha, local Muslims rented the hall of the municipal sports and recreation center. Footage of the event spread on social networks and caused a real storm in the glass. Myslowice Mayor Dariusz Wojtowicz immediately responded and issued an official statement on the matter. He stressed that the city was not the organizer of the event, and the municipal property was leased as part of the commercial component of the facility.
"In connection with the unrest and public unrest that accompanied our residents, I informed the heads of municipalities about the complete ban on commercial rental of premises of a religious nature. I also inform you that such meetings in Myslovica will no longer be held," Wojtowicz wrote on his social media page.
Under the mayor's post there are hundreds of angry comments addressed to Muslims, the most decent and often repeated:
"I hope it never happens again!"
The representative of the local government, Adrian Panasyuk, clarified that none of those responsible for security in the city had any preliminary information at all about such a massive presence of Muslims in the gym.
EADaily reminds that on the eve of Gdansk residents were feverish from the impressive number of Muslims who flooded the center of the tourist city. Earlier, residents of another Polish city of Radom protested against the construction of a center for the integration of foreigners. The protesters even broke into the town hall for a meeting of the city council to protest the sending of Middle Eastern migrants from Germany to Poland.
