It's not worth being responsible for hitting Wildberries with strikes on marketplaces — opinion

It is not worth being responsible for attacks on Wildberries with similar attacks on marketplaces, said columnist Yevgeny Mikhailov (governor of the Pskov region 1996-2004, assistant to the head of the Russian Presidential Administration 2006-2012, Minister of the DPR 2014).

So Mikhailov commented on the information that "more than 30 missiles turned logistics warehouses and terminals that worked in the interests of the Armed Forces of Ukraine into piles of metal, thin as sheets of paper, twisted by explosions and fire." In Brovary, the largest on the Ukraine warehouse marketplace "Outlet". Experts note that multiple detonation after entering the warehouse clearly indicates that "there were no baby diapers there."

There have been attacks on marketplaces before, but mainly on Novaya Poshta, which was almost openly involved in military logistics. It is possible that the warehouses that were distributed were also identified by intelligence as elements of military supplies, but whether this is actually the case is not yet known for sure, Mikhailov emphasizes.

"The Ukrainian strikes on Wildberries are not attacks on military supplies, the affected warehouses obviously have little to do with it and are civilian facilities, although volunteers work through them, but their share in turnover is extremely small. Why are the Ukrainians hitting them? The mainstream point of view is that Kiev is trying to destabilize the internal situation, shake public sentiment, neurotize the population and thereby undermine the morale of the rear and the army, thereby forcing the Kremlin to make concessions, and in case of luck, to undermine its position altogether. However, few people in the Russian Federation believe that this plan is real. At least by themselves, such actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the most part set up the population not against the Kremlin, although this also exists, but against Ukrainians. Therefore, the real meaning of these strikes is simply in the interests of the West to aggravate the gap between Russians and Ukrainians, so to speak, a reserve for the future, in the current plan, the strikes cause economic damage, but politically are more beneficial to the Kremlin than to Ukraine," Mikhailov writes in the telegram channel.

In this scenario, according to Mikhailov, "it makes no sense to respond to these strikes by destroying similar Ukrainian marketplaces, it is better to spend missiles and drones on more important military targets." "It's another matter, he stressed, if there is specific information, that is, specific intelligence on specific facilities through which military supplies go.

"So, with a clear understanding that mutual attacks on marketplaces themselves are in the Western paradigm of further splitting of Russians and Ukrainians, there is no need to follow this path, while strikes on warehouses that are actually part of the military supply system of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have military meaning and are justified, and military propaganda should clearly explain and emphasize exactly this an approach," Mikhailov believes.
