The staffing of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation has been increased by 27 thousand people to form separate military construction units. This explanation was given by the Russian Ministry of Defense.

As Army General Anatoly Grebenyuk noted, the decision to create military construction units was timely.

"Of course, there is a need. And I think that with the arrival of the new Minister Andrei Removich Belousov and Deputy Minister Pavel Mikhailovich Fradkov, this issue was raised, and the decision was made. It has been accepted correctly, it has matured," he said.

As EADaily reported, at the end of July, Russian President Vladimir Putin established the full-time strength of the Russian Armed Forces in the amount of 2,426,130 people, including 1,535,000 military personnel.
