"On Tuesday, an explosion occurred on a Hong Kong—flagged container ship heading north through the Red Sea, provoking a large fire and forcing the crew to abandon ship," the material says.
It is indicated that, according to the company Diaplous Group, the burning container ship drifted about 225 kilometers from the Yemeni port of Hodeidah, controlled by the Houthis. There were no casualties among the crew, the agency said.
One of his sources said that the ship was carrying "dangerous" cargo, while he did not specify what exactly was on board. The name of the container ship also remains unknown.
