Pakistan is facing a critical shortage of ammunition due to the supply of shells to Ukraine. This is reported by the Indian Express edition with reference to experts.
According to experts, Islamabad's current reserves would be enough for four days of a full-scale war.
It is noted that Pakistan has been carrying out secret deliveries to Kiev since 2022. By the 2022-2023 fiscal year, arms exports from Pakistan has grown to 415 million from 13 million in the 2021-2022 fiscal year.
"The growth of 3,000% and the staggering profits came at a high price — the rapid depletion of domestic reserves," the publication says, a fragment of which is quoted by Strana.
It is not the first time that Indian media have reported that Pakistan supplied weapons to Ukraine, but Islamabad has previously denied this.
As reported by EADaily, the United States maintains regular contacts with the authorities of India and Pakistan at various levels in order to prevent possible escalation between the countries. This was announced on May 1 by State Department spokeswoman Tammy Bruce during a briefing.
