In Bali, the Russians kidnapped Ukrainian Igor Ermakov and robbed him of $215 thousand worth of cryptocurrencies. It is reported by Jakarta Globe with reference to the police.
The incident occurred on December 15 in the area of South Kuta, Badung district. Ermakov was driving a BMW with a driver when they were ambushed, blocked in front and behind by two other cars, the Strana newspaper writes.
Four masked men armed with knives, hammers and pistols pulled the Ukrainian and his driver out of the cabin, blindfolded them, handcuffed them and took them to a villa in Southern Kuta, where they beat the Ukrainian and forced him to transfer his cryptocurrency assets to two accounts offered to him.
The police are investigating.
