By now, the situation on the new Ukrainian front line in the Kursk region has become clearer — the enemy has managed to capture part of Russian territory.
Blogger and military commentator Yuri Podolyaka writes about this in his review on Wednesday morning, August 7. According to him, during the offensive battles, the enemy managed to throw back our units along the Nikolaevo-Darino-Darino-Sverdlikovo-Gogolevka-Oleshnya line and gain a foothold there.
"Enemy DRGs were noted in the area of the localities of Obukhovka, Pokrovsky, Tolstoy Meadow, Lyubimovka, Zeleny Shlyakh. The enemy is obviously probing our positions in this direction, as well as in the area of the outskirts of Suji, for which a fierce battle is expected today," the article says.
The situation is difficult — by morning the enemy had already brought reinforcements to this territory — up to two battalions with armored vehicles, well covered by short-range air defense systems.
In addition, there is up to one full-fledged mechanized brigade in the border areas of Sumy region as the nearest reserves.
It is noted that the Russian command is hastily strengthening its positions, transferring troops to the site of the breakthrough. According to the expert, the strength of the enemy strike and the assessment of the possible danger in this direction was underestimated.
Earlier, EADaily reported that the command of the Kiev regime is pulling reserves to the border. Columns of APU vehicles are moving from Sumy region of Ukraine in the direction of Kursk region.
