"We have been growing nuts for thousands of years. We have the largest plantation in the world in Arslanbob, not by Kyrgyzstan, Central Asia or the continent. Nowhere in the world is there such a large area of walnut forests. We live in such a unique place. The nut has spread around the world from Kyrgyzstan, and then it began to be called Greek, Turkish, Spanish, and Hungarian. But in fact the nut has spread from Kyrgyzstan. Therefore, we should call it Kyrgyz, not Greek," Tashiev said.

According to the agency, in the Jalal-Abad region in the south of the republic, at the initiative of Tashiev, 40 thousand seedlings began to be planted on 100 hectares of desert territory.
