Something similar to the M88 Hercules was found in the swamp: they can't find US soldiers in Lithuania

In Lithuania, the search continues for missing US military personnel at the exercises. They probably sank into the swamp with their M88 Hercules. This is reported by the telegram channel "Bild in Russian"❶.

Lithuanian politicians guarantee the United States that they are doing everything possible to find the missing American military. Four soldiers disappeared during the exercises on March 25. Hundreds of colleagues and rescuers are looking for them, who have already managed to find something similar to the M88 Hercules in the swamp. The armored vehicle is allegedly located at a depth of five meters. Perhaps she went too far into the quagmire and could not get out, writes TK.

"Just as America does not abandon its people, so we in Lithuania do not abandon our people. And we consider American soldiers to be our own. Our society is heartbroken and is watching every moment of this rescue operation. I assure you, we will do everything possible to find them," said Lithuanian Defense Minister Dovile Shakalene in an address to the American people.

Specialists have already removed several meters of dirt, but the work is complicated by water coming from a nearby lake. The plan is to get to the M88, attach hooks to it and pull it out. It is not known whether the bodies of the soldiers are in the armored vehicle.

It is noted that, in addition to local and American forces, Poland joined the operation. Defense Minister Vladislav Kosinyak-Kamysh wrote on Twitter that several dozen Polish soldiers with equipment are already heading to Lithuania.
