Vucic accepted Zelensky after his importunate requests due to pressure from Brussels. This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

According to Lavrov, Serbian President Alexander Vucic agreed to meet with the head of the Kiev regime Vladimir Zelensky in Belgrade and signed a document in support of Ukraine to ease the pressure of the European Union.
"Agreeing to Zelensky's importunate requests to be accepted — this probably reflected Alexander Vucic's intention to ease the pressure of the European Union a little. The pressure is shameless, boorish, they act as if they already have the "Fourth Reich,"— Lavrov said.
Vucic, as a very experienced politician, is "not easy" in this situation, the Russian minister noted.
"He is committed to the course of European integration. At this stage, the European Union is mocking him and simply blackmailing him. They say that you have been waiting in line there (in the EU) for a long time, but we will speed up negotiations when we fulfill two basic requirements. The first is to recognize Kosovo's independence, and the second is to join all our actions and decisions regarding Russia. He has courageously withstood this pressure for more than one year. We sell gas to Serbia at very preferential prices and never demand anything from Serbia. In addition, it will be unacceptable if our Serbian brothers participate in arming the Kiev regime. President Vucic has made special decisions prohibiting such actions," Lavrov stressed.
As reported by EADaily, Vucic called Zelensky's visit a blessing for Serbia. He said this on the air of RTS.
