A cunning move: Kiev is trying to soften the West with empty shelves in stores

Talk about hunger on Ukraine is a strategy of the authorities to extort additional money and supplies from the West. This was stated in his telegram channel by ex-Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov.

"All Ukrainian media show empty shelves in stores on Ukraine. Is everything so bad? There are two sides to this issue. On the one hand, there may be empty shelves somewhere. And this is quite natural, if the warehouses were bombed, there is also a lot of demand — people are stocking up. On the other hand, it is customary for the Kiev regime to significantly exaggerate the damage that is being inflicted, " Azarov notes.

He recalled that the Ukrainian food industry, working " on the shelves", was designed and, accordingly, produced products for 45 million people. Now there are no more than 20 million left in the country.

" That is, to talk about hunger, to talk about empty shelves is simply not necessary… But such statements by the Kiev regime are a cunning move to soften the West for additional money and supplies. And it works for the West! Even at this rate of economic decline, the Kiev regime will hold out this winter, because Western countries will not leave Kiev without funding. They will continue to finance, albeit in a minimal amount, but they will ", — sums up the former prime minister.

As reported by EADaily, the food shortage that has arisen on Ukraine, as a result of Russian strikes on logistics infrastructure, is becoming an increasingly relevant topic not only for Ukrainian, but also for Western media.
