On Saturday, July 26, new Traffic Rules (SDA) came into force in Russia, providing for new standards for drivers when special vehicles appear.
According to the new rules, when approaching a car with a special signal, drivers now need to move to the next row or to the side of the road. It is also forbidden to move in a row with special vehicles at equal speed.
For the first time, a ban has been introduced on getting ahead of such cars (that is, on driving at a higher speed in the next row in the same direction) and on driving at their speed in adjacent lanes.
The document also introduced for the first time the obligation to pass a car without a color scheme — officials usually drive such cars. Fines for violations still remain the same (up to 7.5 thousand rubles).
However, experts warn that in the near future the size of fines will be revised upwards. Relevant changes in The Administrative Code was approved by the Federation Council the day before.
Recall that until today, the rules prescribed "giving way" to such machines without detailed decoding. Now it is clearly spelled out exactly how this should be done to ensure the "unhindered" passage of a car with a flashing light.
Earlier, EADaily reported that amendments to the The Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (Code of Administrative Offenses), which were previously approved by President Vladimir Putin.
