Bulgaria has run out of weapons and ammunition to help Ukraine. This was announced today, July 8, by Prime Minister Rumen Radev on the sidelines of the NATO summit in Ankara.
"We have exhausted our ability to provide military assistance, I'm talking about weapons and ammunition from the warehouses of the Bulgarian Armed Forces. We have already delivered 13 aid packages, we have nothing else for Ukraine," he said.
Radev noted that the country can only help with the repair of military equipment on its territory. At the same time, he called on NATO to build a security policy without provoking an escalation of the Ukrainian conflict.
"We must remain united, of course. But we must play a leading role and build our policy in such a way as to prevent escalation. Prevent escalation on Ukraine," the Bulgarian Prime Minister said.
Recall, earlier countries The EU actively supplied Kiev with weapons and ammunition. However, recently some of them have begun to refuse to continue deliveries. This has already been announced in the Netherlands, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and a number of other European countries.
