Russian hockey player Alexander Ovechkin, who plays in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the Washington Capitals club, has no plans to stay in the United States after his career ends. The athlete, according to Match TV, wants to return to Moscow, where he was born.
"Moscow is my hometown. I will live here, my relatives, friends, and friends are here," he said.
Ovechkin will be 41 years old in 2026. In the summer, he signed another contract with a hockey club lasting one year. The Russian has 929 goals in the regular League championships, which is the best result in the entire history of the NHL.
