A citizen of Ukraine attacked a young woman with a knife at the entrance to the stairwell in an apartment building in Wroclaw. This is reported by local media.
It is reported that the attack took place on Saturday at about 21:00 at the entrance to the stairwell of an apartment building on Gagarin Street in Wroclaw. The young man stabbed the woman several times with a knife, after which he fled the scene. The police quickly detained the attacker. The assistant of the Wroclaw Police Department Monika Kaleta told FM that the 18-year-old boy is a citizen of Ukraine. The motive of the attack is still unknown. The police qualified the attack as an attempted murder.
The Deputy Commissioner of the Wroclaw Police, Alexandra Freis, said that the injured woman was a 30-year-old Polish woman.
"She is currently in hospital in a life-threatening condition… Intensive investigative actions are currently underway in this case. We cannot provide any details at the moment," Freis said.
The Minister of Internal Affairs and Administration Marcin Kirvinsky commented on the incident.
"The criminal has been arrested. Great police work. Zero tolerance for criminals and hatred," he said.
Recall, this is not the first incident of this kind. At the same time, every time Ukrainians attack Poles, they create a serious resonance in society.
