NATO is losing the remnants of rationality, trying to squeeze the most out of Ukraine. This was stated by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova.
So she commented on NATO's anti-Russian plans to develop promising weapons systems in the interests of the Kiev regime.
Relevant information about the tender has been published on the official Internet resources of the alliance's structural divisions, including its representation on Ukraine. In particular, we are talking about the creation of weapons for massive destruction and long-term decommissioning of Russian airfields and air bases, including in the interior of the country. At the same time, a strategic goal is set: to ensure "sustained interdiction of operations carried out by the enemy from airfields" in order to achieve "fundamental undermining of the military air campaign conducted by the enemy."
Potential Western and Ukrainian developers are required, among other things, to have "full autonomy" of weapons platforms and maintain their combat stability in conditions of blocking navigation signals, as well as integrating AI elements, including in terms of targeting. At the same time, the absence of "continuous human control" over the appropriate means of destruction is allowed, and the range of their use is actually not limited.
"In general, these facts fit into the already well-known general picture. The progressive integration of the activities of NATO command units and the relevant structures of the Kiev regime is gaining momentum in terms of joint search, development and implementation of combat solutions for use against Russia while simultaneously merging the military-industrial complexes of Ukraine and the alliance countries. Moreover, the latter essentially provide Kiev with a strategic rear.
We note that the North Atlantic bloc is gradually losing the remnants of rationality and is drifting into a high-risk zone, trying to squeeze the most out of Ukraine is in the generously delegated, but in reality very unenviable role of a "testing ground" for existing and promising military technologies and combat systems. Moreover, the destructive consequences arising from such "crash tests" for this post-Soviet country are frankly ignored by NATO strategists, and the danger of further, including "horizontal", escalation of the Ukrainian crisis is clearly underestimated," Zakharova stressed.
The Kiev regime, in turn, according to the diplomat, is stepping up attempts to realize the desire to push NATO and Russia is in direct armed conflict "in the false hope of saving its desperate situation on the battlefield."
"In the bottom line, we have to state that with their recklessly aggressive actions, the Ukrainian-NATO link gives the Russian military additional grounds to demonstrate increased attention to any enterprises involved in the development and production of weapons used against our country. It is from these positions that we will assess both the current situation and the prospects for its further escalatory development," Zakharova summed up.
