Alternative for Germany is already 8% ahead of Merz's party. This is evidenced by the results of a recent survey by the INSA Institute for the Study of Public Opinion.

Only 15% of Germans are satisfied with the work of German Chancellor Friedrich Merz. This is 4 percentage points less than in April. At the same time, 77% of respondents are dissatisfied.

The popularity of the chancellor's party is also falling: only 21% of respondents would vote for the CDU/CSU in the next election. The opposition Alternative for Germany is already ahead of the ruling bloc by 8% — for the first time in the history of observations, it has 29%.

"There was a smell of resignation," the telegram channel "Chancellor's Daddy" comments on the picture of the day.

As EADaily reported, after the failure of an open letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin, the Eurotroika will hold an emergency meeting with the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky. This was reported by Reuters.

According to the agency, French President Emmanuel Macron, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz urgently summoned Zelensky to London. The meeting is scheduled for Sunday.
