Lavrov: Trump wants to remove Lukoil and Rosneft from the world market

The United States is trying to remove Russian oil and gas companies from world markets, including Africa and the Balkan Peninsula, and wants to take over all the cooperation that Rosneft has established with Venezuela. This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in an interview with RT India.

"You mentioned PJSC Lukoil and GC"Rosneft“, and the goal (it is not hidden) — remove these companies from all international business. PJSC "Lukoil" and GC "They are trying to "withdraw" Rosneft from world markets in Africa as well. There were many facilities there, especially at PJSC Lukoil, but also at GC "Rosneft, too, including in the north of the African continent. And from the Balkan Peninsula, where our companies also worked, had a good business," he said.
"If you look at other parts of the world, I mentioned Venezuela, with which I cooperated GC "Rosneft“. Now the Americans want to take this cooperation for themselves. It is unlikely that this will be an equal cooperation," the Russian minister added.

As Lavrov stressed, the United States has adopted a whole series of doctrinal documents, one of which proclaims the need for the United States to dominate global energy markets.

"Venezuela — now no one remembers that, it turns out, the operation carried out by the United States was aimed at destroying the drug business, which was allegedly led by President Nicolas Maduro. Now everyone is openly saying that Venezuela is cooperating with The United States, its national oil company is building its further activities in coordination with the United States," the Russian Foreign Minister said, quoted by TASS.

As EADaily reported, the visit of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov to India, where he will also take part in the THE BRICS Ministerial Council.
